5 Month Old Baby With Bad Cough My 5 Month Old Baby Boy Is Really Wheezy.?

My 5 month old baby boy is really wheezy.? - 5 month old baby with bad cough

I went to the doctor four times last week, when in reality, asthma and a bad cough. I see two doctors and both told me that you do not ashma test can or two. The first doctor told me do not need drugs and salbutamol (my son is two years) is no longer recommended. I gave him two days later, when he seemed a lot worse and the doctor brought in a higher dose of salbutamol that my other son? "When asked if he could a blood test to see if we can know what he did, he told me that she will not be blood on a baby so young. I have a dog, but they also have a new sofa, which is full of feathers, a friend told me it could be irritating? Has anyone advice because I do not know what they are doing from one minute to make it easier for him. It is the fourth time that this has happened.

Heather, it's time to pull the heavy artillery.

Go to a pediatric pulmonologist. Someone who specializes in the lungs of children.

Your child is breathing hard, because he can not breathe. Children can die from it.

My children are now grown up, but when they were young, 18mos, so she had the breathing treatments and albuterol INTAL. In addition, med drink syrup albuterol. This does not solve problems but to determine the symptoms for a while.

When my son was a little older, he cons injections allergies, Singulair and Advair. The problem has been solved.

Best wishes.

TX Mom

PS They grow out of it.

I suggest going to other doctors. I know you said it was something, but it seems from the root of the problem. Doctors are there to make better health problem, not ignore. Wheezing can be a lot of things in a young child, so I try in any case, until someone takes them seriously. Good luck!

My daughter was diagnosed with asthma, and she is 15 months. The so-called "evidence" do for them is by inhalation of the substance and then a test of peak flow. The evidence is very unreliable, for starters. My daughter was diagnosed after several trips to the emergency room with severe breathing problems, difficulty in breathing and coughing. Not catch the first chest X-rays, but as he grew older, he could say he had perihilar markings in the lungs, which is grown in asthma common. I think you may need a new doctor because he did not really trying to find the cause. My daughter Pulmicort Respules twice daily in an atomizer and Xopenex wheezing and coughing. Once started, went one week without a cough, which is unusual because he was coughing all the days of his life since his birth. It actually does not work for her and now she is back wheezing and coughing, so I take that back to your doctor and ask to send him into a lung:)

I can better advice of his doctor, sorry. But it could croup, or tracheomalacia (laryngomalacia, or what is the same, but with the voice box), when the trachea is a bit soft and the fins back and forth, while they breathe. I took my daughter because she was breathing funny and told me I could. However, it was gone in a few weeks and what the doctor said it was likely that the hip. Cough and quality really barking, maybe it is. If so, cease to be the most children.

If asthma, I have no idea, sorry!

My advice: Take him to the emergency room and not leave until I had a few tests that have been made and are true to see!
right when they say you can not test for the treatment of asthma to 2. they have done to "prove" by blowing into a tube and the basis for selecting a lot.
as far as blood tests, that is not true. You can draw blood at any age, to take period.have X-rays? After the visit should have, 2e, which takes precedence.
may have allergies, or perhaps have RSV. a virus of the respiratory tract, which can be deadly if they are not alone. I would say that this is not an allergy, and it has just begun (right?) If so, were would be no problem since the first few weeks have been at home.
my son was 5 months when he is diagnosed with RSV. I thought the same thing you did. I had no insurance, so I only went to 2 doctors. Then I went to the emergency room, and literally do not leave until I answered. If they do X-rays, and cotton swab in the nose (the nose-tip?) Found RSV. I was in hospital for 4 days and was fine after that. but it must be placed ontibiotics for this, so you can not go.
This is your checklist: nasal swab, and x-rays. both can tell a lot about (pnemonia, RSV, bronchitis, flu and various viruses, etc.)
my son is now 8 and has a few allergies. has a cough and difficulty breathing, lasting 3 days. But I know what to do when it happens. Do not Mess With Me 5 months old. which are very sensitive, and you never know. Please do not let it go, you've already have 4 times the doctor said, they must think that something is wrong. Good luck!

My doctor also told me that you do not test for asthma is so young, but she has my son Xopenex in the nebulizer is in the office. Immediately stopped wheezing. Since it is believed asthma to be treated accordingly, and (Pulmicort and Xopenex in the nebulizer plus Singulair granules). This allowed me to go with my gut most of the time, and only a doctor if necessary. Now it seems 3 years have already expired, I thank you God! Try a good pediatric allergist may be more useful than a normal pediatrician.

Try to see, vacuuming, and the child running into a steam bath (water, hot shower in the bathroom), whether it helps to improve the breathing, when it is finished with a humidifier in her room to improve the quality of air. Also vacuum the dog to shed excess skin and loose hair removed (it does not hurt the dog - my vet recommended this) and keep the child in clean blankets that have washed with hypoallergenic detergent (like), Tide Free or Dreft. My oldest had problems breathing, and the combination of these very helpful. It took 2 years of medical knowledge that there is) a sinus infection (after countless treatments, the tubes in his ears and had his polyps. It has been better. It is always different from child to child, but patience and perseverance will help you to maintain your child needs. Good luck!
